A new unit (A/C & furnace) was installed Friday. And I mean ALL DAY Friday. They were here before 8 am and didn't leave until nearly 9 that night. All the usual polling place signs were missing but I persevered, finding the caferia entrance deserted and locked. Yum! The mustard based sauce is SO much better than the sweet ketchup-y stuff we have up north. We took a walk along the river and then took a tour of the capitol building. I love that really old stuff. After that we headed to Five Point which is an area that has a lot of little shops, and then to the neighborhood bar, Chong's, which is the place my cousin's pool league ... First we drove out to Folly Beach and had brunch at a little place right on the beach. We walked out on the pier there and saw a few dolphins. It was a little chilly so I was surprised to see people surfing. We walked around in the historic area. There are some beautiful homes there. We got a bite at a great little place off the beaten track where I had a delicious crab cake.
