I am watching them right now. Sometimes I think I'm the only woman who really enjoys them. There's a local channel that has a couple of hours every Saturday night with a host that tells some interesting facts about the Stooges in between the shorts. They call it Stooge-A-Palooza. After the 2 hours of Stooges, the host "becomes" Svengoolie and hosts a show with a horror movie that has comedic horror skits with the comercial breaks. It can be sort of lame, but it's the same guy that used to have a similar horror show like it when I was a kid, so it's also nostalgic. Damn, I'm downright chatty tonight, aren't I?

You are! And I like it. Smile

I don't get the stooges. Laurel and Hardy is more nostalgic for me cuz my dad used to watch them a lot but I still find slapstick to be somewhat boring.

I don't know if I don't get Laurel and Hardy, or if it's just that I don't like them... but I don't like them. I'm not very fond of Abbott and Costello, or the Marx Brothers either.

Some of the funniest Stooges shorts are ones that they have basically banned because of political incorrectness. The ones that make fun of Hitler are particularly funny.

Maybe it's because they were on the local Chicago channels back in the olden days when I was growing up without cable TV. You know what I'm talking about, Sass. We had the 3 major networks, public TV channel and 4 local channels here. One of the local channels was a Spanish channel and two of them were hard to get unless you had a really good antenna, which we did since my dad was such a sports afficianado.

Back in those days just about anything that was humorous seemed like a good TV show to me. lol

Yeah, I'd watch just about anything back then - and enjoy it. With only one tv the kids had to watch whatever the adults wanted to see anyway.

And the tv was black and white! *insert decrepid emoticon with long white beard here*
