What a disappointment that new show Merlin turned out to be. Couldn't even make it thru one episode, even with Anthony Head showing up a few times.

How can it be that the highlight of this summer's tv viewing has turned out to be watching So You Think You Can Dance with my 11 year old. You know, that Venetian Waltz kicked ass.

Iraq Marks U.S. Exit with Holiday


Iraq has declared Monday a national holiday, planning festivals and celebrations, as it prepares to mark the end of the U.S. presence on the streets of its towns and cities, more than six years after the Iraq war began. As of Monday, 130,000 U.S. troops will be confined almost exclusively to American bases, leading up to the final U.S. departure in mid-2011—a milestone that’s been highly anticipated by Iraqi officials, who see it as a return to sovereignty. But the festive mood has angered some U.S. officials, who feel that U.S. troops’ contributions are being overlooked. Michael Jackson had a tortured body as well as a tortured soul. The Sun has glimpsed his autopsy report and passes along the grisly details: Jackson weighed 112 lbs. at the time of his death, had lost nearly all of his hair, was covered in needle wounds from his thrice-daily painkiller injections, and was covered in scars from at least 13 plastic-surgery operations. His stomach was empty except for dissolved pills, and he suffered several broken ribs as rescuers pumped his chest to try to resuscitate him. Read it at The Sun

You could never piss me off, even if you vote for Obama again. I think too much of you.

Good, because I prolly will vote for him again.

You may, but I've got 3 years to convince you not to....by that time though, I think everything will be self-evident.....you'll think as much of Obama as I did Bush his last two years, and that ain't much.

Maybe, but like you voting for Bush after the 1st four disasterous years I am sure I'll still prefer Obama to the alternative.

Madoff got the whole 150 year sentence. Good show.

Too bad they can't extend his life that long, so he could count every pore in those concrete block cell walls to pass the time.
